The RRI.ex

...

Our RRI exhibition is a virtual museum about the democratic and social improvement of research and innovation. Most of the material you will find here was made by our interdisciplinary network of project members and participants experimenting with the concept of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) within the NewHoRRIzon project. Our goal is to continue to use this space - whether as inspiration for proposal writing, best practices for policy makers and researchers, or as a guest project in our visiting exhibition room - the RRI.ex is open to all who are looking for new ways to create a positive impact on society through research and innovation.

Inside the virtual exhibition you can use your mouse to navigate through different vantage points in the two floors of the exhibition. Our navigation tool, located in the center of the exhibit, allows you to search for specific content tailored to your interests and provides recommendations on what to explore. Videos scattered throughout provide additional information on the NewHoRRIzon project and messages from our project members.

What you will find

...

Located on the first floor of the RRI.ex, the downstairs area present "pilot actions," which are experiential and experimental actions developed with stakeholders as part of the NewHoRRIzon project. You can read brief descriptions of each of these actions and follow the links to download materials where available. Upstairs you will find NewHoRRIzon tools, such as an online training course and a tool to reflect on and monitor a project's social readiness and consideration of RRI elements. The upper floor also houses our exhibition space, where guest projects can "rent" our virtual space for their own communication and dissemination activities. If you want to present your project at this space, please contact us via the contact form.

About NewHoRRIzon

...

NewHoRRIzon is a project that aims at further integrating Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the research and innovation systems on national and international levels. The concept of RRI intends to bridge gaps between science, research and innovation communities and society at large by fostering more inclusive, anticipatory, open and responsive research and innovation systems. In this frame, multiple stakeholders (from research, business, policy making, education and civil society) are involved in research and innovation on the project and system level to better align its processes and outcomes with the values, needs and expectations of society. A first big step was the operationalisation of RRI into the following six key elements: ethics, gender equality, governance, public engagement, science education and open access.
